IL likes us.

I just received an email from our social worker saying she finally received the Illinois DCFS Approval Letter for our home study.  IL likes us and you have no idea how happy that makes me.  The approval took a month...which is a month too long :)  Not many states need to get home studies approved in the same way as IL which makes me a little more impatient about that stage in the process!    It's being approved again by our placing agency and then we will get the final copy to send to the US government with our I600a form.  We're happy to be making progress.  Hopefully we will be on to the next step by next week.

    1. I'm glad to hear there are other states out there that make you wait! It makes me feel much better :) How exciting that you have your fingerprinting tomorrow...one step closer! I've had a chance to follow your blog through the YWAM blog and it's been fun to hear more about your journey. It's fun to connect with others that are in a similar stage to us. I'm excited to follow the rest of your journey. Hope it goes well tomorrow.
