Home Study.

Yesterday we had our final home study interview, signed and turned in all of our paperwork, and celebrated big time (of course, with Dunkin)!  The interview went well.  We talked a lot about our marriage and our parenting style which was fun.  It's amazing to feel on the same page as Dave and that we're in this together.  It's going to be fun.


The next steps in the process are as follows:

1.  Our Social Worker will finish writing our narrative.
2.  Our narrative will be approved by the Adoption Coordinator at LCFS.
3.  Our home study will be sent to and approved by the state of IL.
4.  Our home study will be sent to and approved by CHI.
5.  We will apply for our I-600A.

We are hoping that our narrative will be completed and approved by the State of IL and CHI within the next 3 weeks.  I'll keep you posted.

    I love your comment about the home study discussions - that was my favorite part too.
    So excited for you guys. Love the celebration with dones.

    Yay!!!! Pumped for you guys. Of course you got Dunkin. Isn't it weird to talk about parenting styles when you aren't parents yet :)
