good day.

Today we had our home visit.  We cleaned our house all day Sunday to prepare for today.  I can't remember the last time our house looked THIS clean.  The home visit wasn't very long and consisted of:

a home tour
checking the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
checking the hot water heater (to make sure the temperature isn't too hot)
signing more papers
my individual interview about my background and family
reviewing next steps
and setting a date for our final home study meeting

Overall, a great day and one step closer to being done with this part of the adoption process...we can't wait!
